Questions parents usually ask

Teen therapy is designed for young people between 13 and 19 years old.

Your therapist will share general progress and themes with you, but the specific details of each session stay between your teen and their therapist. The exception is if there is a risk to your teen's safety.

That is common. Many teens are hesitant at first. We suggest framing it as a place to talk freely, not as punishment or a sign that something is wrong with them.

Typically, sessions are one on one between your teen and the therapist. But your therapist may invite you to join certain sessions if they think it would be helpful.

If you have noticed changes in their mood, sleep, appetite, social behaviour, or academic performance, it is worth exploring. You do not need a diagnosis to start. Reach out to us if you are unsure.
