A practising role for a clinical psychologist early in their career — fresh out of your M.Phil is fine. You hold clients from intake through to closure, with senior clinicians to take cases to and documentation standards already set.

The work

  1. 01Carry a caseload of adult clients across anxiety, mood, relational and adjustment presentations
  2. 02Run structured intake, mental status examination and risk assessment
  3. 03Write case formulations and evidence-based treatment plans
  4. 04Deliver structured therapy and track progress across sessions
  5. 05Escalate risk and complexity early, to the seniors around you
  6. 06Keep clinical documentation to the standard we set
  7. 07Come to supervision prepared, with real case material
