Online ADHD therapy for adults
Adult ADHD treatment with an ADHD therapist who understands how your brain works
Screening, assessment support and therapy for adults with ADHD, or who suspect it, from a psychologist who works with adult ADHD every week. Practical, evidence-based, online, in Malayalam or English. Not a diagnosis service: we tell you plainly when a psychiatrist is the right next step.

Capable on paper, exhausted in practice: the everyday shape of untreated adult ADHD.
What is adult ADHD?
ADHD is a difference in how the brain manages attention, effort and impulse. It is not a lack of intelligence or discipline. In adults it rarely looks like a child bouncing off walls; it looks like a restless mind, twenty open tabs, chronic lateness, projects abandoned at 80 percent, and a running commentary of self-criticism about all of it.
Many Indian adults reach thirty or forty before anyone names it, especially women and people who did well at school by working twice as hard as everyone else. By then, anxiety, low mood or burnout have usually arrived on top, and those get treated while the ADHD underneath does not.
You do not need a diagnosis to talk to us. If the signs below have been true for most of your life and are costing you at work, in study or in relationships, that is enough to start.

What adult ADHD can look like
Three presentations, and the company ADHD usually keeps. Each one changes what therapy focuses on.
How ADHD therapy works
Medication is not the only treatment for adult ADHD, and it is never the whole treatment. The evidence-based psychological approach is Cognitive Behavioural Therapy adapted for ADHD: less about changing thoughts, more about building external structure for a brain that does not supply its own, and unlearning the shame that decades of "careless" and "lazy" left behind. Your psychologist also screens for the conditions that ride along with ADHD, and refers you to a psychiatrist for a formal diagnosis or medication when that is the right call.
Sessions are 50 minutes, over encrypted video, in Malayalam or English. New to therapy? Here is what to expect in your first session, and why the bond with your therapist matters more than any technique.

What our clients say
Starting couple therapy with Teresa has been one of the best decisions for us. Therapy helped me calm down, reflect on my own patterns, and recognize how both of us were struggling and growing together. It truly brought more clarity, understanding, and peace into our relationship.

I had tried several therapy sessions in the past without seeing any noticeable changes in my thought patterns. Then, I decided to give Ello Mind a try. My therapist, Teresa, is very friendly, and I was able to connect with her perspective right away. She has already helped me make a positive change during one of the lowest points in my life.

I’ve been attending therapy sessions with Hyma ma’am, and the experience has been incredibly positive. She creates a safe and comfortable environment, allowing me to open up and explore my thoughts at my own pace. Her approach is both professional and compassionate. I’m truly grateful for the progress I’ve made with her guidance.

I cannot thank Ms. Hyma enough for her incredible support and guidance. She helped me manage my anxiety issues and regain the energy and confidence to handle my work, as well as find time for my hobbies. She helped me organize my schedule effectively and deal with situations rationally. Definitely recommend!

I had a great experience with Ellomind. I worked with Teresa and she is a wonderful therapist. Helped me get my thoughts sorted and gave some effective exercises that helped me on my mental wellness journey. I am giving this feedback a few months after my sessions ended and still feel great. The effects of the therapy are long lasting.

Teresa was able to correctly identify that I had issues with confidence and assertiveness using the right questions and exercises. She then taught me CBT frameworks and techniques that helped me improve my self-image. Teresa is very open to receiving feedback and integrating it into subsequent sessions.

I’ve been taking sessions at Ello Mind since 2023, and Teresa has helped me overcome many things. She doesn’t just give advice — she helps you understand yourself better. She listens patiently and really tries to understand what you’re going through. I genuinely appreciate her work and highly recommend Ello Mind.

Frequently asked questions
Both have a role. In India a formal ADHD diagnosis and any medication come from a psychiatrist. A psychologist does the rest: screening, a detailed assessment conversation, therapy for the day-to-day problems ADHD causes, and treatment for the anxiety or low mood that usually travels with it. Many adults do therapy alone; many do both. If we think medication should be on the table, we will tell you and help you find a psychiatrist.
A psychiatrist or clinical psychologist takes a history going back to childhood, uses structured rating scales such as the ASRS, and rules out other explanations like anxiety, depression, thyroid problems or sleep disorders. There is no blood test or brain scan for ADHD. A good assessment takes one to two sessions. Our free ASRS-v1.1 screener is a sensible first step before that.
Yes, for many adults. CBT adapted for ADHD has good evidence for improving organisation, time management and emotional regulation, and for reducing the anxiety and low mood that come with untreated ADHD. Medication helps many people with the core attention symptoms, and the two together often work best. The honest answer is that it depends on how severe your symptoms are and what they are costing you.
Yes. Studies of online CBT for adult ADHD show results comparable to in-person therapy, and online sessions remove the two things adults with ADHD most often trip on: travel and remembering the appointment. You get reminders, the session is at a fixed time, and you can join from wherever you are.
Usually together. Years of missed deadlines and forgotten commitments teach the mind to worry, so anxiety in adults with ADHD is often a consequence rather than a separate problem. Treating only the anxiety leaves the cause in place. Your psychologist will map how the two interact and plan around both. If you have not already, the free anxiety test and ADHD test take two and five minutes.
No. ADHD does not appear in adulthood, but it is very commonly recognised in adulthood, particularly in women and in people who coped by working harder than everyone else. Being assessed at 35 or 45 is ordinary. Many people describe the diagnosis as the first explanation that ever made their life make sense.
Look for a psychologist with a recognised master's degree who names adult ADHD as something they work with, uses a structured screener such as the ASRS rather than guessing, and is clear about when to involve a psychiatrist. Ask how they handle the practical side: planning systems, follow-through between sessions, and what happens when you miss one. At ElloMind that psychologist is Teresa James, and sessions are online, so where you live in India does not limit who you can see.
Yes. All our psychologists speak Malayalam and English, and most clients use a natural mix. Sessions are online, so you can be in Kochi, Bangalore, Dubai or anywhere else. See online counselling in Malayalam.
An individual session is ₹1,499, or from ₹1,049 per session with a multi-session plan. Each session is 50 minutes. You pay after your session. View all plans.
